Less than two weeks after the school’s cheerleader and dance captain committed suicide, the Los Osos High School community is grieving the loss of another young student.
Superintendent of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, Dr. Mathew Holton, confirmed the news of the deceased student.
A quote from a statement released by Holton on Thursday said, “We can’t begin to express the depth of our grief over the heartbreaking loss of another student from Los Osos High School.” “The families and friends of the two students who passed away in recent weeks have our sincere condolences. We are standing together to help our community get through this trying time.
At approximately 1:30 in the morning, the fatality occurred in Rancho Cucamonga on the 210 Freeway close to Haven Avenue.
The scene of Emily Gold’s death, which was discovered on September 13, was the site of the death inquiry.
Although Gold’s death and Thursday’s death have not been linked by officials, the California Highway Patrol dispatch reported that a teen may have jumped from the overpass.
The teenager has been unofficially identified as Connor Furtain.
