Connecticut State Police have identified the deceased as Eloi Batista Da Silva, according to an incident report released on Monday morning. His place of residence has not yet been disclosed. Batista Da Silva was declared dead at the scene, according to police statements.
In addition, a man from Waterbury, a man from Southington, a woman from Bristol, and a man from Massachusetts sustained suspected minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals for medical attention. The man from Wethersfield reported no injuries, as noted by state police. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
