Elliot Handy Obituary, Death; – U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia captured a man on Thursday morning who was wanted in connection with the murder of a New Jersey resident allegedly involved with his ex-girlfriend. Law enforcement identified Kenneth Tripline, 36, from Philadelphia, as the suspect and arrested him around 9 a.m. at a residence on the 1500 block of West Diamond Street.
He was being sought for the stabbing death of Elliot Handy, which occurred on March 11, 2025, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. Authorities reported that Tripline was apprehended after they received information suggesting he might be hiding near Temple University.
“Once we confirmed that a fugitive wanted for murder was in close proximity to Temple University, it became crucial for us to apprehend him as quickly as possible,” stated Robert Clark from the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
During his arrest, Tripline attempted to flee through a rear window of the West Diamond Street property but was compelled back inside by law enforcement. He ultimately surrendered to the officers without further resistance.
Tripline had been on the run since March 12, 2025, after being identified as a suspect in Handy’s stabbing, which took place the previous day at a residence on the 100 block of South Ave. in Bridgeton, New Jersey.
