On Friday, September 2, 2023, Eleanor “Ellie” Mae Peters of Davenport, Iowa, passed away at the age of 12.
Although her time on earth was brief, Ellie’s presence left an enduring impression on all who knew her, as she exuded warmth and joy in every location she visited. She was a cherished friend, sister, and daughter, whose memory will be cherished by many.
Ellie was a pupil at Williams Intermediate in Davenport, Iowa, who was both intelligent and inquisitive. She was a favourite among her instructors and classmates due to her boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm.
Ellie was in the process of learning how to play the guitar, an endeavour that brought her immense pleasure and a sense of accomplishment, and she had a passion for music.
Her passion for music was merely one of the numerous methods she employed to convey her creativity. In addition to her musical pursuits, Ellie harboured an intense affection for the outdoors.
She frequently spent hours tending to her garden, where she cultivated flowers and plants with a tender touch, as she found serenity and happiness in nature. In addition to reading, Ellie relished playing video games, engrossing herself in imaginative realms, and immersing herself in new ideas and stories.
Animals held a special spot in Ellie’s heart, particularly her beloved cat, Maizy. Maizy was a consistent source of solace and companionship for Ellie, and their bond was unbreakable.
