A stabbing was reported to have occurred in the 3300 block of Redondo Beach Boulevard, and the Torrance Police Department and the Torrance Fire Department were the first to arrive to the scene. It was established by the police that this was an attempted murder that involved stabbing when they came when they arrived. The mother is currently being treated by the fire department after the son is suspected of stabbing his mother.
After a few minutes have passed, the police department is now searching the area for the son. At El Camino College, a knife was discovered on the fifth floor of the parking structure that the college uses. At this time, it appears that the son jumped off the fifth floor of the parking structure. After being treated by the TFD and LACOFD, it was determined that the boy had done not survive the fall. From Crenshaw Boulevard to Yukon Avenue, Redondo Beach Boulevard is currently closed.
