Eduardo Flores Alvarez Obituary, Death; – A single-vehicle accident on I-84 in Umatilla County led to the fatality of a Pendleton resident on Saturday, January 4, as reported by the Oregon State Police.
According to OSP, at 8:49 a.m. on that Saturday, authorities arrived at milepost 179 and discovered that a pickup truck had veered into the median while traveling eastbound, subsequently rolling over and coming to a stop in the westbound lanes. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Eduardo Flores Alvarez from Pendleton, was ejected during the incident and was found in the median. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation did not disrupt traffic flow. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
