He worked as a salesperson for the beverage business for the majority of his career, reaching the position of district manager for Schlitz Brewery, Stroh’s Brewery, and the Canandaigua Wine Company, among other institutions. After serving as an area manager for Charles Jacquin, Inc., he took his retirement. He was a member of the church that was named Our Lady of Grace. “.The man known as Eddie D was a genuine sports fanatic. The fact that he had played at St. Vincent College at the time that he was a student there and had also been a member of the Westmoreland Derry County League was something that he took great pride in. While he was serving his country, he was also a member of the Dixie League, which was based in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a fan of the Penn State teams, as well as the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Additionally, he had a deep affection for his grandchildren as well as his cat, Bella. It brought him great satisfaction to sit on his porch and read a good book. He also took pleasure in serving as an emcee at a variety of occasions. Each of the Hilltop Social Club, the BPOE, and the Penn State Westmoreland Club counted him as a member at one point or another. He is survived by his family. At 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, a funeral Mass will be performed at the Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg because the deceased has passed away.
