Edmund DiPasquale Obituary, Death – Greensburg resident Edmund A. DiPasquale, 88, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Born in Greensburg on February 23, 1935, he was the son of Vincent and Mary Testa DiPasquale, who have since passed away. “Eddie D. attended St. Vincent College after graduating from Greensburg High School in 1952. He served as a veteran of the United States Army at the Army Training Center Armory in Fort Knox, Kentucky, from 1958 to 1960.
He worked as a district manager for Schlitz Brewery, Stroh’s Brewery, and the Canandaigua Wine Company for the majority of his career, mostly in the beverage sector as a salesperson. After serving as an area manager for Charles Jacquin, Inc., he retired. He attended the church of Our Lady of Grace. “Eddie D was a real fan of sports. He played at St. Vincent College and was happy to have been a member of the Westmoreland Derry County League during his time there.
While serving his country, he also performed as a player for the Dixie League in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He liked to watch the Penguins, Steelers, Pirates, and Penn State teams. He was especially fond of his cat Bella and his grandchildren. He enjoyed emceeing events and was happy to read a nice book while relaxing on his porch. He belonged to the Penn State Westmoreland Club, the BPOE, and the Hilltop Social Club. In the past, he had also played golf at Hannastown Golf Course.
He wanted to express his gratitude and affection to his daughters and his granddaughter McKenzie in his own obituary. Claude DiPasquale, Flavia Grazan, and Anna Marie Erdeky were his three siblings who passed away before him, along with his parents. His three children, Lisa Rohrbacher (Barrie), Aimee Kolick (Les), and Stephen DiPasquale (Carrie), all of Greensburg; three grandchildren, Quinn and Hunter Garris; great-grandchildren, McKenzie LeFevers, and Jonathan Rohrbacher; and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.
A funeral mass will take place in the Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Our Lady of Grace Church on Saturday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m. Donations in memory of the deceased may be sent to Family Resources at 1425 Forbes Ave., Suite #500, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, www.familyresources.org, in place of flowers. The family expresses gratitude to the RNC and Bridges Hospice personnel for their kindness and support.
