A proud graduate of Madison Central, Eddie answered the call to serve his community by joining the City of Richmond Fire Department, where he selflessly battled fires and emergencies for over two decades. His commitment to public service left an indelible mark on the community he called home.
Beyond his firefighter duties, Eddie found solace in the small pleasures of life. He had a deep appreciation for music, football games, and cheering for his favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt, reflecting his genuine and unpretentious character.
Survived by his son, Joshua Still, and three beloved grandchildren—Kinley, Kingston, and Mauy Still—Eddie’s love for family extended beyond blood ties. His journey was marked by moments of joy and sorrow, including the memory of his late daughter, Laura Brooke Still.
A celebration of Eddie’s life will take place with funeral services at 2:30 PM on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home on W. Main St., Richmond. Visitation will be held after 12:00 PM (Noon) on Friday, providing an opportunity for the community to pay their respects and share memories of Eddie’s life dedicated to service and filled with the simple joys that made him smile. Eddie will find his final resting place in the Richmond Cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service and genuine kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him.
