Two men lost their lives in a tragic crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle on Friday in Wapello County, Iowa. The drivers of the motorbike and pickup truck were identified by the Iowa State Patrol as 29-year-old Dustin West and 45-year-old Billy Skinner, respectively.
Around 4:54 p.m., a deadly collision happened near Bladensburg Road and Agency-Hendrick Road. Authorities claim that when Skinner was driving his vehicle north on Agency-Hendrick Road, West was moving south. When Skinner turned to the west, the motorcycle and the truck crashed together.
The Iowa State Patrol and nearby emergency personnel responded to the scene, where they both declared dead: West and Skinner. Wapello County Sheriff’s Office, Ottumwa EMS, and Wapello County Rural Fire all provided assistance with the response.
