Dustin Robert Odum Obituary – A hit-and-run incident earlier this month resulted in the tragic death of Dustin Robert Odum, a 43-year-old resident of Phelan. The collision occurred on May 2 along Johnson Road, between Phelan and Nielsen roads.
According to the San Bernardino County coroner’s records, Odum was walking on the west side of the street when he was struck by a northbound car. Shockingly, the driver did not stop to offer assistance and fled the scene. Upon arrival, first responders discovered Odum gravely injured on the roadside. Sadly, he was pronounced dead by authorities at the scene.
Investigators noted that the vehicle responsible for the accident left behind debris, indicating it was likely a black or dark gray sedan. The car would have sustained damage to its right side, including the bumper, hood, fender, and headlight.
