Dr. Paul Mahoney Obituary, Death – When the Board of Directors of MassABA learned of the demise of our colleague and friend, Dr. Paul Mahoney, they were overcome with an overwhelming sense of sorrow. It was overwhelming for them to feel sorrow.
The outstanding qualities that Paul possessed as a behavior analyst, along with his sympathetic character, allowed him to have a huge impact on the lives of a vast number of people. Paul made the decision to run for election to the board of directors of MassABA with the goal of providing assistance to behavior analysts located throughout the state of Massachusetts. This aspiration was the impetus for his choice to run for office in the election.
Following his election, he did not spend any time in establishing himself as a respected member of the board. He did this without delay. The position of Clerk was the most recent one he had throughout his employment history. During the lively board deliberations that took place, Paul’s kind and inviting approach was always a treat to see, and it was eagerly anticipated by everyone.
Although his opinions were occasionally muted, the message that he gave was always clear and had a huge influence in a variety of different ways. This was the case despite the fact that his comments were often overlooked. Paul’s presence at MassABA, which was always calm, kind, and generous, will be severely missed by everyone who knew him.
His presence will continually be a source of inspiration. We would want to use this opportunity to convey our appreciation to him for the unwavering commitment and tireless effort that he has shown in his ability to represent the board. We intend to keep his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. We are thinking about and praying for them.
