Dr. John Munshower, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, has been speculated dead. At the time of this writing, he has not been properly or officially confirmed dead. Dr. Munshower is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), MCP/Hahnemann University Medical Center (dba Drexel University Medical School), and Temple University Medical Center’s department of family medicine. He is employed by Midwestern University as a faculty member under the Dean of the College of Health Sciences. In the Family, Community, and Preventative Medicine department of Drexel University Medical School, he holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor.

In addition to being a clinical assistant professor of medicine in the University of Pennsylvania’s department of psychiatry, he has experience working in collaborative efforts with the university’s Anxiety and Mood Disorders Center. He formerly served on the Crozer Keystone Health System’s credentialing and quality improvement committees. He participated actively in the CKHN PCMH recognition initiative and served as chair of the PCMH Care Coordination & Standardization Committee in the past. He was also a member of the PCMH NCQA Committee and the system-wide antibiotic stewardship program. He is the chair of the family medicine department at Riddle Hospital in the main line health system (MLHS) and a clinical operations leader for the organization.

He oversees the medical assistant studies program at Delaware County Community College as its medical director. Dr. Munshower has always had a passion for diabetes, lipid diseases, hypertension, and prevention. He completed his residency and internship at the PCOM/Graduate Health System, where he also held the position of head intern, after earning his degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). He is often named one of Delaware County’s and the Philadelphia region’s top doctors in family medicine.
