Douglas King Obituary, Death – Those of you who are friends of Randall Jordan, you may take comfort in the fact that none of us can promise that tomorrow will come. Douglas King, a former classmate of ours and an initial neighbor in Arrowhead, went away calmly in his sleep. There was no disturbance in his sleep. Originally, he lived in Arrowhead. He was a resident there. He was a buddy to us, and he was one of our closest buddies.
In 1974, he received his diploma from Kempsville High School, which he had attended for his high school education. It is my sincere wish that his family would accept my sincere condolences. Unquestionably, he will be missed by many people. One of the most well-known characteristics of Douglas King was his unflinching kindness and his readiness to assist anybody who was in need. King is noted for having this quality, which is one of his most recognizable traits.
Through his unshakable dedication to helping at the neighborhood soup kitchen, he was able to have a positive influence on the lives of a considerable number of people who were battling with challenges linked to hunger and homelessness. He was able to do this because he was able to make a difference in the lives of those folks. As a consequence of his acts of selflessness and generosity, which acted as a beacon of hope in our town, other people in our community were motivated to copy his example and follow in his footsteps.
This was a direct outcome of his actions. Prayers and thoughts are being sent up for them at this time. The acceptance of our heartfelt condolences is something for which we are really thankful. Those folks who had the honor of knowing Douglas will feel a huge sense of loss upon learning of his passing. We would want to take this occasion to extend my most sincere condolences to Douglas’s family at this very difficult period we are all going through.
