Donald Hargest Obituary – Donald Lee Hargest, who resided in Stewartstown and was 76 years old, passed away without any discomfort on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at his residence. Through his legacy, he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and memories that will be treasured by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. On September 25, 1947, Donald Hargest was born in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents, Agnes (Burkhardt) and Robert F. Hargest, Sr., both passed away before his birth.
After graduating from Parkville High School in Harford County, Maryland, in 1965, Donald went on to pursue his education. He went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree in business management at Towson State College, which was the next step in his educational evolution. During the course of his career, Donald managed a number of different enterprises until eventually ending his career. The excellent work ethic, determination, and leadership abilities that he possessed earned him a reputation.
In his spare time, Donald was a sports fanatic, and he enjoyed watching and taking part in a variety of sporting events. His favorite sport was baseball, which he continued to play well into his 50s. He also enjoyed watching and participating in a variety of other sports. On the other hand, the thing that brought him the most happiness in life was the time he got to spend with his family, particularly his grandchildren. Donald’s kind and outgoing demeanor won him the hearts of everyone he came in contact with, and he became a friend to everyone.
Brenda, his devoted wife of 41 years, his two sons, Derek Hargest and Brett Hargest, and his daughter-in-law Amanda Franks, his brother, Robert F. Hargest, and his sister-in-law Sue, his sister, Elizabeth A. Ross, and his brother-in-law Bob, and his three cherished grandchildren, Drew, Rylee, and Caroline Hargest, are among those who are left behind after Donald’s passing. His parents, his son Donnie L. Hargest Jr., 12, and his brother Tex Hargest all passed away before him. He was the last surviving member of his family.
On Saturday, April 13th, at 2:00 pm, a memorial ceremony will be held to celebrate the life of Donald. The celebration will take place at the Family of God Community Church, which can be found at 147 1st Avenue, Red Lion, Pennsylvania 17356 area code. The attendees are informed that there is no parking available on the street; however, there is a parking lot located behind the church on Summit Lane that is accessible.
