Dominik Ashton Warner, Ethan Alexander Newman Death – Two individuals lost their lives in a high-speed pursuit conducted by law enforcement on Wednesday night in the southern part of the city, as reported by the Albion Department of Public Safety. Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer from ADPS made an effort to halt a vehicle that was driving recklessly on Superior Street close to Walnut Street.
The driver promptly fled at a high velocity towards the south on Superior Street, according to the police. Shortly after, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree near the southern city boundaries.
Both occupants of the vehicle perished due to the impact of the crash, law enforcement stated. The deceased have been identified as Dominik Ashton Warner, 21, from Albion, who was operating the vehicle, and Ethan Alexander Newman, 18, also from Albion, who was a passenger.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. ADPS received support at the scene from the Albion Township Fire Department, Sheridan Township Fire Department, Albion Community Ambulance, and the Michigan State Police.
