Dimitri J. Green Obituary – A woman who was killed in a head-on collision following a pursuit in Wise County on Wednesday has been identified by the police. The Wise County Sheriff’s Office and Wise County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office reported that the pursuit began when Pound deputies spotted a silver Audi Q3 that matched the description of a vehicle of interest from Hazard, Kentucky.
The Audi was heading south on Route 23 when it veered into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Trax, shortly before 9 a.m. The driver of the Audi, identified as Dimitri J. Green from Charlotte, North Carolina, and a passenger were airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center to receive treatment for their serious injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained serious injuries as well and was also transported to JCMC for medical attention. Unfortunately, the passenger in the Chevrolet, identified as 45-year-old Amy M. Lockwood from Wise, succumbed to her injuries and passed away at a local hospital. Green has been charged with felony homicide.
