Diann A. Thomas Death – Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls was the location where Diann A. Thomas, who was 79 years old and from Plymouth, died away in a calm and serene manner on Sunday afternoon (March 31, 2024). She was the only child by her parents, Herbert Ramel and Gladys (Tackes) Ramel, and she was born on January 27, 1945 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Diann received her high school diploma from Kewaskum in the year 1963.
It was on October 15, 1966 that she tied the knot with Donald A. Thomas. After being married, they made their home in Kewaskum. In 1969, they relocated to Random Lake, where they ran a hobby farm and raised a large number of animals over the course of their lives. In 2009, they finally made their home in Plymouth. It was on January 5, 2012 that Donald passed away before she did. In addition to being a previous member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Lake, Diann was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth, where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella for a number of years.
Gardening and taking care of her flowers were two of her favorite hobbies. She also liked crocheting, being a 4-H Leader for a number of years, traveling (particularly her trip to Alaska), and spending time with her loving family and friends. Surviving members of her family are her devoted children, Tracy Thomas of Greenbush, Tammy Thomas of Milwaukee, Todd Thomas (Michelle) of West Bend, and Terry Collins (Odis) of Victorville, California; Grandchildren include Brittney Johnston, who is married to Evan Klug; Logan Johnston; Aaliyah Thomas, who is engaged to Jacinto Garcia-Gamboa;
Ashley Thomas; Steven Thomas, who is engaged to Jeb Holt; Jessica Thomas, who is engaged to Johnny Yepez; Dylan Thomas, Trey Brown, and Travis Brown; There are two great-grandsons, namely Jona Barbosa and Giuseppe Garcia-Gamboa. Theresa Kirst of Plymouth, Ruth Thomas of Plymouth, David (Theresa) Thomas of Random Lake, Harry Thomas of Random Lake, and Joseph and Annette Thomas of Random Lake are the sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the family. A large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and acquaintances are also among those who will miss her.
The following people passed away before Diann: Brian Johnston, who was Tracy’s devoted companion; Eugene Kirst, Paul Thomas, and Carl Thomas, who were her brothers-in-law; Marlene Thomas, who was her sister-in-law; and Bella, who was her fur baby buddy.
Funeral Services are scheduled to take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth on the morning of Saturday, April 6, 2024. After the visitation, which will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 in the morning, there will be a Mass at 11:30. Fr. Subi Thomas will preside over the ceremony. The funeral service will be followed by the cremation, and the burial will take place at the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Dacada.
A memorial fund will be established in Diann’s name in lieu of flowers being sent to memorial services.
