Deontay Page Obituary, Death; – A man from Peoria has been confirmed as the individual who lost his life in a collision in Tazewell County on Friday evening.
Deontay Page, aged 22, was named as the deceased after being transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center following the incident, as stated by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood in a Facebook update.
Emergency services received a 911 call at 6:56 p.m. on January 31, reporting a two-vehicle accident with one person trapped inside a vehicle, situated near the intersection of Edgewater Drive and Bartruff Lane, approximately seven miles northeast of Pekin.
Page was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center; however, he was found unresponsive, without a pulse, and not breathing. He was declared dead less than an hour after law enforcement arrived at 7:46 p.m., according to Harwood.
Details regarding the injuries of the other driver involved have not been disclosed. The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, Harwood noted.
