In Denison, Iowa On Tuesday night in Crawford County, there was a collision that resulted in one death and four injuries. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix lost control and collided with a 2016 Chevy Suburban on Highway 30, west of N Avenue, east of Denison, at around 9:50 p.m. The Suburban was heading west when the collision occurred, while the automobile was traveling east on Highway 30.
According to the Patrol, two passengers and the vehicle’s 23-year-old driver, Brent Robert Dale Stephan of Yukon, Oklahoma, both received critical injuries. Cory Robert Beer, 35, of Bayard, was one of the passengers in the automobile who passed away at the site. He had not fastened his seat belt. Both Lytton residents, Heaven Marie Holloway, 23, and Stacy Marie Holloway, 44, were hurt because they had not fastened their seat belts. Brent Stephan and the two ladies were transported by LifeFlight to the UNMC, located in Omaha.
Denison EMS sent Shelby’s 19-year-old Suburban driver, Morgan Wade Andersen, to the Crawford County Hospital in Denison so he could receive treatment for non-life-threatening wounds. Investigations into the crash are still ongoing. Denison EMS and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office provided support to the Patrol on the site.

Further details of a deadly accident that occurred early on Monday morning north of Carroll have been made public by the Iowa State Patrol. The single car collision occurred on Monday morning at around 7:57 on Highway 71, a few miles north of Carroll. According to the State Patrol, forty-one-year-old Joshua Shelton from Carroll was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 truck south on the highway when he passed another southbound car. Returning to the southbound lane, Shelton lost control of the truck, causing it to enter the west ditch and collide with a utility pole. The collision claimed the lives of Shelton and his daughter Aubrey, a Carroll High School ninth-grader. At the incident, the Iowa State Patrol received assistance from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services. Grief counselors are being made available to staff and children by school administrators in collaboration with Heartland AEA personnel.
