Denise K Miller Obituary, Death;- A woman who tragically lost her life in a house fire in Menlo on Tuesday morning has been named.
At approximately 9:20 a.m., the Menlo Fire Department, along with Stuart Fire and Rescue, responded to a report of a fire at a residence located in the 400 block of 3rd Street. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered significant smoke and flames emanating from the structure.
As reported by the Adair & Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency, during their search of the premises, firefighters discovered the body of a 73-year-old woman at the end of a hallway near an exit. On Wednesday, authorities confirmed the identity of the victim as Denise K. Miller. An autopsy is planned to ascertain the precise cause of her death. Additionally, Miller’s dog was found deceased within the home.
The emergency management agency expressed their heartfelt condolences, stating, “Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Denise who was a lifelong beloved member of the Menlo community. The family, Menlo area, and surrounding communities are mourning her loss.”
The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
