Delaris Bowden Obituary – We are terribly saddened to notify you about the demise of our beloved friend Delaris Bowden. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Sincere condolences are sent to you at this time. As a consequence of the news, we are in a state of complete and utter amazement as well as disrespect. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the fact that our sincere condolences have been accepted. During the time that Delaris was appointed to the position of Assistant Chief for the operations of Emergency Medical Services, she made history by becoming the very first woman to ever hold that position in the whole history of the organization.
This accomplishment makes her the first woman to ever hold that position. Over the course of more than three decades, she volunteered her time to serve as a firefighter for the South Montgomery County Fire Department. Her ability to ascend the ranks of the department’s ladder of promotion and get at this particular level was made possible throughout that period of time. During the period that she worked for the fire department, she held a variety of positions, including those of secretary, treasurer, board member, teacher of emergency medical services, instructor of emergency care provider, and instructor of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She also served as a member of the board of directors. In addition to that, she served on the board of directors of the organization. One of the most important tasks that she took on after receiving horrifying phone calls was the responsibility of arranging debriefing meetings.
She was given this role after she received the phone calls. A further responsibility that was assigned to her was the scheduling of these sessions. She was entrusted with the task of carrying out this duty by the organization that she worked for. Through the provision of aid, she assisted volunteers from all over the southeast region in overcoming the traumatic experiences that they had encountered while carrying out their volunteer work. She did this in order to help them overcome the challenges that they had met. She also helped them overcome the difficulties that they had encountered, which was a significant contribution. She did carry out the tasks that are linked with the profession of psychotherapist, and there was a potential that her role may be compared to that of a psychotherapist.
It is probable that the nickname “Ma D” was given to her because she enjoyed her “job.” That would explain why she was given the nickname. Taking into consideration the circumstances that led to the acquisition of the moniker, this is a possibility. Mother D and the children had a mutually adoring relationship, and the children had a strong affection for Mother D. Mother D was the object of unending adoration for the children. Additionally, throughout the later stages of her volunteer work, she was frequently observed keeping a watchful eye on the children while she was on calls. This was a common occurrence. This occurred on a consistent level across the board. On Halloween, she also helped organize a huge number of “Truck or Treat” activities for the children of the town. These activities were held with the purpose of providing them with treats. The young people participated in these activities that were carried out.
There were a number of activities that were carried out in order to commemorate the event. All of the members of the group, even the younger children and teenagers, took part in these activities. We are saddened to inform you of the demise of a wonderful individual who was a friend, educator, volunteer, and family member. It is with a heavy heart that we relay the news of their passing. A period of mourning has been imposed upon our fire department as a consequence of the terrible event that they have been through. Please join us in praying for her husband, Tim, her daughter Sandi (Scott), her grandsons Brayden and Bryleigh, her brother Bubba, and the thousands of other members of her extended family. We would be immensely grateful if you would be so kind as to join us in praying for them. Your support is very appreciated, and I thank you in advance for it.
