Debra Hinton Obituary, Death;- The Port Arthur Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal auto-pedestrian accident that occurred late Friday night.
Authorities received a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle in the 5500 block of Gulfway Drive at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, officers attempted to administer life-saving measures to the woman; however, she sadly succumbed to her injuries at the scene, as stated by Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso.
The victim has been identified as 70-year-old Debra Hinton. Chief Duriso confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. The Port Arthur Police Department has initiated an investigation into the incident and is working to reconstruct the events leading up to the collision.
