Debra Carrington Obituary, Death; – A homicide that was initially thought to be a potential road rage incident is now being reclassified as a case of domestic violence, following the identification of the suspect as the victim’s former boyfriend, as reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting took place on April 13 at around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Caruso Forest Drive and Pincay Oaks Street. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a silver SUV that had collided with a tree in front of a residence in northwest Harris County. Investigators noted that the vehicle was extensively damaged by gunfire, and a woman was found deceased inside. The victim has been named as Debra Carrington.
Detectives suspect that she was shot in the vicinity before her vehicle crashed into the tree. After conducting a thorough investigation, authorities concluded that the event was not a random act of road rage. The suspect, Gregory Brown, 54, was subsequently identified as the individual responsible for Carrington’s death.
Investigators revealed that Brown was her estranged ex-boyfriend and that he was recognized through surveillance footage recorded near the location, as well as through cellphone communications with Carrington shortly before her demise.
