Genovese allegedly ran from the scene but was later discovered hiding in a backyard not far away. After being transported to ECMC, he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol combined, first- and second-degree vehicular manslaughter, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, fleeing the scene of a fatal auto accident, and other moving violations.
