One man is dead after a shooting that happened in Sharon early Friday morning.
Police arrived on the scene on the 800 block of Ravine Place in Malleable Heights, a Mercer County Housing Authority neighborhood, around midnight. Officers from Hermitage, Farrell, and Shenango Township were on the scene early on but left within an hour.
The victim was identified as 35-year-old Terran Page-Hughes. He was found with gunshot wounds on scene. Page-Hughes was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The investigation led to police blocking off a block of townhouses with crime scene tape. Officers focused in on a car parked in the middle of the lot. The passenger window shattered.
A K9 unit was searching the wooded area beyond the crime scene tape.
Police were on the scene for several hours collecting evidence and speaking with neighbors. Neighbors tell First News they had heard about six gunshots before police arrived.
Police have not named a suspect in this case. They ask anyone with information to contact their department at (724) 983-3210.
