Regina Rogers Seattle, WA, basketball player and coach has passed away, she was a standout player for Sealth in the 2000s, earning various honours such as Metro League Player of the Year and state tournament Most Valuable Player. She then went on to play for the University of Washington (the website of the university outlines many of her career highlights), and then she went on to have a career as a coach.
At Chief Sealth International High School, Rggers was honoured with a retirement ceremony at the halftime break of the girls’ varsity basketball game in the year 2020.
She graduated from Chief Sealth High School in Seattle in 2007, where Regina was a student. She won the Most Valuable Player of the 2006 State Tournament and was instrumental in the team’s success in winning back-to-back state championships in 2005 and 2006.Regina Roger was selected to the first team of All-Metro from 2005 to 2007 and was a reserve on the McDonald’s All-America squad during that time period.
In 2006, she was awarded the third-year player of the year award by the Seattle Times, as well as the high school player of the year award by the Tacoma News Tribune.
