Death; Isya Stanley, 17 Obituary, Shot Dead In The Shooting At Fairmount Park During ‘Pop-Up’ Party: Following an unplanned celebration in Fairmount Park on Saturday night that left four minors hurt and a 17-year-old girl dead, a family is in grief. Police claim that a pop-up party between 29th and Ridge marked the start of the tragic night. The party was broken up by officers soon before eleven p.m.
Then, a huge group of children and young adults—roughly one hundred people—moved from that spot to the area of Fairmount Park close to North 33rd Street. Police in the area claim to have heard gunfire coming from the park. According to police, gunshots struck three boys and two girls, a total of five adolescents. One of the five victims, a 17-year-old girl named Isya Stanley by her parents, was slain in the gunshot.
A memorial service for Isya, who according to her relatives went by the moniker “Cece,” took place in West Philadelphia on Sunday night. Ellen Kolodziej of FOX 29 had an exclusive interview with the 17-year-old’s parents, Regina Jones Stanley and myself, tonight at 10 p.m. on FOX 29. Isya recently graduated from high school, and her family says she was the life of the party who brightened every room. Isya’s parents are distraught and implore the murderer of their daughter to come forward.
