Mr. Robinson was appointed to the Board in November 2022 to fulfill the remaining term of a leaving Board member. Following that, he was elected and granted a term that began in January 2023. Mr. Robinson taught social studies to seventh-graders at Center Grove Middle School Central for the final 37 years of his 43-year career as a public school teacher, having graduated from Center Grove High School in 1973.
I just heard the terrible news. My former teacher, Gary Robinson, and newly elected board member for Center Grove High School passed away last night. That one hit hard for me. He was a great teacher and mentor to the youth. He was one of the most influential people in my life growing up. He taught me more than just social studies. We truly lost a great man today.
