Police said that a biker and his passenger were killed as they escaped from a traffic stop in El Cajon late on Saturday night. The incident occurred late in the evening. On Saturday evening at 11:38 p.m., officers from the El Cajon Police Department tried to pull down a black Harley Davidson motorbike that was being driven by two people for a traffic infraction in the 1700 block of East Main Street.
What happened in the crash?
The motorist allegedly did not stop and went west on Main Street at a high rate of speed, according to the records of the officers. According to the El Cajon Police Department, the motorbike crashed into the rear of a Toyota Tacoma and a Hyundai Sonata in the 1300 block of East Main Street after it had driven away from the officer who was chasing it.
Both the man driver and the female passenger on the motorbike, both 42 years old, sustained devastating injuries, and both of them passed away at the scene of the accident while receiving medical care from El Cajon Police Officers and staff from the Fire Department. The identity of the driver and passenger have not been made public by the police up until this point because they are waiting to notify their relatives. Loved ones have identified the man as Frank Cavazos of San Diego, California.
