Edwin was considerably more to numerous sportsmen than just a coach. In addition to being an incredible choreographer, friend, and mentor, he also inspired others. He was an example of how perseverance and hard effort can move mountains. Among the numerous things he taught, the most important was how to be a great person. There was nothing like his hugs.
Countless enjoyable moments spent with this incredible choreographer, who swiftly became friends with so many who wanted him close enough to impact their lives. Edwin threw a party to commemorate his ten years of winning choreography this year, but it coincided with one of his cheer competition weekends. He made so many want to improve, was always ready with a joke or to torment any of his students so the kids would laugh, and his generosity and compassion really brightened everyone’s day.
Although your students, friends, colleagues and family will always carry your memory in their hearts, knowing you has made them better people. He would always lead his team to Victory, with their winning summit Pyramid that made them Summit Champs. He plays in our gym band, sends our kids notes on social media, and requests videos of every event.
Who is Edwin Melendez?
HE currently holds certifications in CPR and First Aid, Green light background checks, and USASF Levels 1-6 certifications.
He also have experience with hip-hop dance; in a 2006 FAMEus competition, I finished in the top three out of 230 competitors and won multiple regional and national dance titles in both the group and solo divisions.
He and Paula Abdul danced together during the Super Bowl preshow. In addition, she choreographed magic all stars dream for the New Kids’ block tour in Anaheim, California in 2019.
WINchoreograpghy is his own kind of choreography that he established and developed in order to advance in the cheerleading industry. In addition to college teams like Concordia University, Cal Baptist University, El Camino HS, California HS, Van Nuys HS, Notre Dame HS, Centennial HS, Santa Monica HS, and many more, he has worked with and choreographed regional and national high school and middle school teams.
For All Star programs like American Cheer, Pacific Coast Magic, USA Starz, GymTyme, Corona Starz, West Coast Rush All Stars, Stealth All Stars, Fusion Elite, Cheer Extreme, JustCheer, All Star One, Xtreme Athletix, West Coast Fame, ACA, Cheer St. Louis, X-Out Cheerleading (Canada), Centre Coyotes (Canada), and Pacific Coast Magic – Costa Rica, he has also choreographed Regional, National, Summit, and World winning routines.
