Drue was not only well-known to several athletes in our neighborhood, but he also served as a big inspiration to so many people who were aspiring to be like him. It was a sensation to look through his website in the hopes of finding mind-boggling pictures. His ability to see the good in everyone and present it through his lens was a gift from God. He was always available to answer any questions anyone had about the camera, and he encouraged so many to try their hand at photography.
Drue was always happy and willing to lend an ear, whether it was to wave or study photography from him on the sidelines. I’m sorry I didn’t tell him more, but without those small, seemingly straightforward moments, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I want to thank you for being my buddy, Drue. You are greatly missed.
