Death, Cody A. Kanavel 29 Virginia Has Passed Away From A Car Accident in Warren County; A deadly incident on Route 340 in Warren County on Friday night claimed the life of a 29-year-old man from Front Royal. After being sent to Warren Memorial Hospital with potentially fatal injuries, Cody A. Kanavel passed away.At 10:50 p.m., a two-vehicle mishap happened just south of Coppermine Road.
The Virginia State Police are looking into the incident. VSP reports that Kanavel’s Chevrolet Malibu was heading north on Route 340 when it lost control of the vehicle while navigating a bend, over a double solid yellow center line, and struck a southbound Toyota Camry head-on.
The male 59-year-old Rileyville driver of the Toyota sustained severe injuries and was sent to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for medical attention. He had on a seatbelt. Kanavel was not wearing a seatbelt, according to VSP. The crash remains under investigation.
