The crash happened on 30th Street West, east of Fairbanks Avenue, when a Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by a 20-year-old man from Lakeville, crossed the center line and collided with a GMC Sierra. The GMC was being driven by a 16-year-old boy, also from Lakeville. The collision was severe, leading to the immediate death of a passenger in the Ford F-150.
The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Brantley McCarty, a resident of Cannon Falls. The loss of this young life has deeply affected the community, as friends and family mourn the untimely passing of Brantley.
