Dean Capps,Bobby Gathings Obituary, Death; – The Horry County Coroner’s Office has identified the three individuals who lost their lives in a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Highway 701 on Monday. The deceased are Larry Dean Capps, aged 56, Crystal Ward, aged 47, and Bobby Gathings, aged 38, all of whom succumbed to traumatic injuries at the scene.
Capps was driving a pickup truck when it collided with a tractor-trailer on Highway 701, located south of Pee Dee Highway. According to Tamara Willard, Chief Deputy Coroner in Horry County, both Ward and Gathings were passengers seated in the front of the vehicle.
Capps was last known to reside in Myrtle Beach, while Gathings was from Conway and Ward hailed from Loris. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
