NEW YORK, NY – A violent shooting late Sunday evening at the intersection of West 207th Street and 10th Avenue in Manhattan has resulted in the deaths of two Bronx men. The incident, which took place on June 16, 2024, at approximately 11:41 PM, prompted multiple 911 calls from witnesses.
Upon their arrival, NYPD officers found three victims of gunshot wounds. Michael James, a 44-year-old from Jesup Avenue in the Bronx, suffered a fatal shot to the face and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. Alejandro Ramirez, aged 45, from Sedgwick Avenue, also in the Bronx, was shot once in the chest and taken to New York Presbyterian Allen Hospital in critical condition; he too succumbed to his injuries.
A third victim, a 37-year-old male, was shot in the leg and is currently in stable condition at NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and NYPD’s investigation is actively ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information about this tragic event to come forward to help bring those responsible to justice.
