At just 19 years old, Deacon’s passing came as a shock to many, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and love. Born on August 18, 2004, in Niles, MI, to Jason and Kelly Dillenbeck, Deacon brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew him. His journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to his family, his work, and his passions.
Deacon’s academic journey led him to graduate from Jimtown High School with the class of 2022. Eager to continue his education and pursue his interests, he enrolled at IVY Tech, demonstrating his thirst for knowledge and personal growth.
While academics were important to Deacon, his true passion lay in his work at Hoosier Crane Service Company, where he served as a crane service technician. Colleagues and friends remember him as someone who approached his work with dedication and enthusiasm, treating his coworkers like family. Deacon’s commitment to keeping the company moving forward was unwavering, earning him the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Deacon found joy in simple pleasures. He cherished moments spent on the golf course, often planning trips with friends and family to indulge in his favorite pastime. Video games also held a special place in his heart, providing him with countless hours of enjoyment and camaraderie. However, what truly defined Deacon was his genuine love for others. Described as an old soul, he possessed a rare gift for connecting with people on a deep level. Whether stopping by a loved one’s workplace for a visit or simply calling to check in, Deacon’s presence brought comfort and joy to those around him.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home in Elkhart, IN, followed by funeral services at St. Mark Missionary Church in Mishawaka.
