De lawnte Hardy Obituary – The Fox 8 I-Team has discovered additional information about the individual who was apprehended for the killing of a Cleveland Police officer while on duty Thursday morning. A charge of aggravated murder has been brought against 24-year-old De’lawnte Hardy. He has been taken into custody at the Cuyahoga County Jail.
The accusation simply states, “at 1510 E. 80th PL Cleveland, OH, De’ lawnte Hardy did shoot and kill” the officer. The shooting occurred early Thursday morning. During a brief press conference, the Cleveland Police Chief did not delve into many specifics of the incident, but she mentioned that the suspect had been sought for felony assault, and he discharged multiple rounds.
The identity of the officer who was shot is not being disclosed at this time. Fox 8 News is aware that the deceased officer was 27 years old and had served as a member of the police force for four years.
