David Gregory Roberts Obituary, Death; – A 64-year-old man from Pahrump was pronounced dead on Christmas Eve in southwest Las Vegas, according to the Nevada State Police. Authorities arrived at the scene on Blue Diamond Road at approximately 7:10 p.m., near mile marker 31, which is situated about 35 miles west of Las Vegas.
The investigation indicated that a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling northbound on Blue Diamond when it approached mile marker 31. For reasons currently unknown, the driver lost control of the vehicle, veering left into the dirt and rock median. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and has been identified as David Gregory Roberts. He was declared dead at the scene.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting the investigation. As of 2024, the Southern Command of the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol has recorded 77 fatal crashes, resulting in 86 fatalities. It is important to note that the fatality data for 2024 is preliminary and may be subject to change pending the completion of investigations and coroner reports.
