David departed this life with a legacy of devotion, service, and a lasting influence on his friends, family, and coworkers. Connecticut is the birthplace of David, also referred to as Dave. He was a well-liked member of his community who was well-known for his empathy and persistent commitment to his job. During his twelve years as a correctional officer, Dave grew to be a valued member of the Department of Corrections (D.O.C.) family.
Everyone who knew him respected and admired him for his unwavering dedication to his work and his coworkers. Dave was an invaluable member of the Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the duration of his career, exhibiting exceptional bravery and professionalism. In addition, he had positions at the Academy and Bridgeport Correctional Center, where he oversaw new hire training and had a big influence on how the criminal justice system would develop in the future. His coworkers recall him as a rock of strength, constantly willing to offer assistance and encourage people in need.
Dave was a dedicated individual outside of his career. Dave leaves behind a close-knit group of friends and coworkers who will miss his contagious smile, his sense of humor, and his unshakeable loyalty in addition to his family. A true hero has left the Bridgeport community and the Department of Corrections, and those who had the honor of knowing him will always be motivated and inspired by his legacy.
