David Bentley Obituary, Death; – The Topeka Police Department (TPD) has disclosed the identity of the city’s 21st homicide victim for the year 2024. In a press release issued on Saturday, December 14, Rosie Nichols from the City of Topeka confirmed that the latest victim is David Bentley, a 45-year-old resident of Topeka.
Authorities received a call shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, regarding an individual suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2000 block of Southwest Stone. Upon arrival, officers discovered a person who was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is currently being investigated as the 21st homicide case in the Capital City for 2024.
