David Alfred Dymacek Death – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Alfred Dymacek, a beloved member of the Bowling Green, Kentucky community. David passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his residence, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and love.
Born in Bumpass, Virginia, David was the son of the late Joseph Dymacek and Ila Henderson Dymacek. His upbringing in a close-knit family set the foundation for the life of dedication and compassion he would lead. David served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. His service during a pivotal time in history is a testament to his deep sense of duty and commitment to others, values that would guide him throughout his long and fulfilling life.
After his military service, David pursued his true calling as a minister, devoting over sixty years to spreading faith, hope, and love through his work in the Church of Christ. As a member of the Alvaton Church of Christ, he was known for his unwavering commitment to his congregation and his steadfast leadership. His ministry touched the lives of many, offering spiritual guidance, comfort, and inspiration to all who sought his counsel. David’s impact on the church community and beyond will be remembered for generations to come.
David is survived by his devoted wife, LaThell McGhee Dymacek, with whom he shared a life of love and partnership. Together, they built a strong and loving family, including their son, Scott Dymacek, and their daughter, Kimberly Roberts (Steve). His six grandchildren—Aaron Roberts, Rachel McCloud (Shane), Elizabeth Roberts, David Roberts, Scott R. Dymacek (Allison), and Jessica Dymacek—were a source of immense pride and joy for him. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Trenton, Aidan, Eli, and Laura McCloud, and Gideon Dymacek, each of whom brought light to his later years.
In addition to his immediate family, David is survived by several nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly. His loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
