Davante Johnson Obituary, – The man who was fatally shot at a Shreveport apartment complex on Monday night has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office as Davante Johnson, aged 32. Johnson succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds after being transported to the hospital.
The shooting incident occurred following a confrontation at the Enclave Apartments on Grimmett Drive, according to law enforcement officials. Jeremy Hill, aged 38, engaged in an argument with a couple outside the apartments, which escalated when Hill allegedly drew a firearm and opened fire. Numerous shell casings were discovered at the scene.
Subsequently, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Hill, who turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday afternoon. He has been placed under arrest and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of second-degree murder. The tragic death of Johnson marks the 33rd homicide in Shreveport for the year 2024.
