At the time of his passing, Daniel was at the forefront of Mondelēz International’s efforts to enhance its product development and packaging, overseeing all research, nutrition, quality control, food safety, and scientific affairs worldwide.
His leadership played an integral role in shaping the company’s iconic portfolio, which includes renowned brands such as Oreo, Ritz, LU, Clif Bar, Tate’s Bake Shop, and Cadbury Dairy Milk.
Under his guidance, the company strengthened its commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative products while ensuring the safety and well-being of its global customer base.
Before his tenure at Mondelēz, Daniel held several senior leadership positions in the beauty and health sectors. He served as the Global Senior Vice President for Packaging, Sustainability, and Technical Operations at Estée Lauder Companies, where his expertise helped drive advancements in sustainability and technical innovation.
He also contributed to Coty and Revlon as their Chief Scientific Officer and led Health Care categories at Reckitt Benckiser. His career spanned a variety of industries, each of which benefited from his ability to merge systematic processes with creative innovation, a testament to his versatile leadership style.
Daniel’s career began in his native Venezuela at Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he took on increasing levels of responsibility. His journey at P&G allowed him to gain a deep understanding of both emerging and developed markets, which later served as a foundation for his international career
