Danaya Foster,Mark Sousa Obituary, – Police have identified three out of the four individuals who lost their lives in a head-on collision in Waterbury on Friday night. Upon arriving at Thomaston Avenue around 11 p.m., authorities discovered an Audi A7 and a Lexus GS300 engulfed in flames following the crash. The driver of the Lexus has been identified as 44-year-old Mark Sousa, who was alone in the vehicle.
The Audi was being driven by 26-year-old Shar’ref Mahan from West Hartford, with two other passengers on board. One of the passengers was identified as 25-year-old Danaya Foster from Waterbury, who was seated in the back of the Audi. The identity of the front seat passenger is still under investigation with assistance from the Office of Chief Medical Examiner.
The tragic incident occurred in the northbound lane within the 600 block of Thomaston Avenue. Preliminary findings suggest that both vehicles were traveling at high speeds prior to the collision.
