Dale Tschudin Obituary, Death– Dale M. Tschudin, 80, of White Mills Road, Chatham, died on September 2, 2023, with her family at her side at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn. She was the beloved wife of Romer J. “Jerry” Tschudin and the daughter of the late Russell Bonesteel and Kathleen Strait Bonesteel. She was born in Troy, New York. Dale left behind a legacy of vitality and undying love for her loved ones.
Before moving on to Troy, New York, to complete her education at Troy High School, Dale spent her formative years in Wynantskill. Until her retirement in 2004, she worked as a sales agent for the Prudential Insurance Company.
Dale’s husband, Jerry, and her children Scott (Karen) Passino of Scotia, Stephen Passino, and Kristen Passino George of West Sand Lake, as well as her sister, Nancy (Bill Gummer) Passino of Wynantskill, all survive her. The seven grandchildren Michael, Bridget, Nicolas, Rianna, Ethan, Isabella, and Jake were the pride and joy of Dale’s life.
Dale has a life full of shared experiences and passions. She was happiest when in the company of her husband Jerry, with whom she shared a love of travel, golf, and quiet evenings on the terrace, listening to music and watching the birds soar above the carefully tended gardens.
They went to Maine every summer and made memories that will last a lifetime. Dale enjoyed herself the most when she was tending to her lovely gardening. The times she went shopping with her daughter Kristen and granddaughter Isabella were also some of her favorites.
On Thursday, September 7, 2023, visitors are welcome from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel in Glass Lake Averill Park, 2691 NY 43. At 6:30, there will be a memorial service. The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to the Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208, in lieu of flowers.
The donations made in memory of Dale will help fund hospice care, which is known for its compassion. Dale’s loving presence will be much missed by many, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, inspiration, and cherished memories.
