Dale Thomas Obituary – The identity of the construction worker who tragically lost his life after being struck by a dump truck in southern Tippecanoe County on Friday has been confirmed. The Tippecanoe County Coroner, Carrie Costello, has stated that the victim was Dale Thomas, a 53-year-old resident of West Lafayette. The incident occurred at a worksite when the dump truck was reversing.
As previously reported by News 18, the collision occurred shortly after noon on Friday at the intersection of U.S. 231 South and County Road 800 South. Despite being rushed to IU Health Arnett hospital, Thomas sadly passed away from his injuries in the emergency room. Coroner Costello is expected to release the preliminary autopsy results for the deceased individual on Monday.
