Cynthia Hyatt Obituary, Death – The passing of Cynthia L. Hyatt, who was 90 years old and from East Liverpool, took place at the Calcutta Health Care Center on the 31st of March, 2024. On May 13, 1933, Cynthia was born in the neighborhood of East Liverpool. Her mother, Grace (Pitkin) Larkins McCready, and her father, Thomas Hart Larkins, who passed away, were known as her parents.
Following her graduation from East Liverpool High School in 1951, she continued her education at Stephens College for Women in Columbia, Missouri, where she majored in library science following her graduation. In the past, prior to beginning her employment at the Cleveland Public Library, Cynthia held the position of director of the Media Center for East Liverpool City Schools.
In addition to being a member of the Esther Bible Group and United Methodist Women, Cynthia was also a teacher at First United Methodist Church, where she was responsible for the Sunday school. Her entire life, she had been a member of the church. She found that being a part of the Southwick-Griscom-Kinney Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was one of the things that brought her the most happiness. On the occasion of Cynthia’s 90th birthday, she was presented with the Ohio State Project Pin.
Before the passing of his wife, Cynthia Hyatt, Jack L. Hyatt was in charge of the hotel. There are fourteen great-grandchildren who are still alive to honor Hilary Wright’s memory. These include Dutch, Hilary Wright’s husband, Janice Smith, Mary Beth Jones and her husband David, Grant Carr and his wife Jalaine, Meredith Glista and her husband Jason, Patrick Smith, Nathan Smith and his wife Morgan, Ashley Smith, Megan Ellis and her husband Brent, Morgan Oaks and his husband Sam, William Jones and his wife Julie, and Aaron Jones and his wife Chrissie.
The service that is slated to take place at a later day in April will be disclosed at a later time. Because of their unwavering commitment and compassionate care for Cynthia, the personnel at the Calcutta Health Care Center and Stacey Howell are deserving of a heartfelt thank you from the family.
