(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Monday will start the week off with cool and comfortable conditions ahead of the morning rain. Temperatures have settled into the 50s and 60s this Monday morning as winds continue to flow out of the south.
Be on the lookout for rain to move in from Monday morning into the afternoon. This will be thanks to a cold front sweeping east across the Carolinas this morning. Rain will likely pick up from our mountain counties into uptown from 9 a.m. into the afternoon.

Winds will be breezy out of the south-southwest between 5 and 10 miles per hour. Gusts can reach as fast as 25 miles per hour at times.
I don’t anticipate Monday to be a washout, as rain moves east rather quickly. At best, we can get a tenth of an inch of rain from our mountains into the Queen City. Monday night will be dry and chilly as lows dip into the mid-40s heading into Tuesday.
We’ll rebound into the low 70s on Tuesday as skies open up but winds continue to be breezy. The 70s will turn into the 60s by mid-week while dry and sunny conditions dominate. The 70s will return on Friday to finish off the work week, with warmer temperatures settling in for the weekend.

Sunday, we will see increasing clouds with rain chances moving back in to finish off the weekend.
Monday: Mostly Cloudy to Partly Cloudy with Morning Showers Tapering Off. High: 71.
Monday Night: Partly Cloudy and Chilly. Low: 45.
