CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A high school student was injured while crossing the street in east Charlotte on Monday morning, according to CMS.
Around 7:15 a.m., Medic responded to the accident on the 7300 block of Lebanon Road, which is right near Lebanon Road Elementary.
Medic said one person was treated on the scene for minor injuries and another was taken to a local hospital for serious injuries. CMS later confirmed that the student was crossing the street going to Independence High School. It is unclear how serious their injuries are or who the other person involved was.

Hello Independence High School families, this is Principal Mims. This morning a student was involved in an accident while crossing the road in front of Lebanon Road Elementary. Emergency responders are on site to assess the situation. As the safety and security of our students is our priority, we wanted to make you aware of this incident.
